Week-10


For this week’s Dev-log we created our own BattleBattle character and played against others in a head-to-head match. Mine was the “Trader” and his ability is that if you have lower health than your opposite then you can trade health making them have your low health. The catch to this is that once you use the ability than you get a token taken away as well so you must choose when you want to use it. For the first couple of game, it was overpowered due to there not be a repercussion of using it. So that’s when I added using a token as essentially a life. This fixes the problem of unlimited use and it made you think more about when to use it. As I played different players, I started to not have to use the ability as much as I thought I needed too but had it when I need it. The last game that I had played I was down to one life and my opponent had 4 so I decided to trade, and I still lost due to having bad rules for my numbers on the card. Overall, I think it worked with some tweaks and feedback. I hope that I can continue to use it for the project. If I could add or change anything I would up the amount of life’s from 2 too 4 only because I felt like I had use my life’s to quickly and would still lose.
